The efficiency of measures to restrict consumption in the event of mineral oil supply disruptions
Crude oil remains a critical raw material for economic growth, as mineral oil products serve not only as essential fuels and combustibles but also provide energy for heating buildings and industrial production.
Given Germany's significant dependence on crude oil imports, any rise in oil prices stemming from global market dynamics or disruptions in supply can have substantial implications. Therefore, this project focuses on exploring various measures that can be implemented under such circumstances.
Similar to our approach with natural gas, we are assessing the quantitative and temporal savings effects of these measures, along with their potential impacts on growth, production, and employment. Through this analysis, we aim to provide insights into strategies that can mitigate the economic effects of oil price fluctuations and supply disruptions on Germany's energy security and industrial stability.
